I’m writing this myself so I’m not going to try and trick you and write it in the 3rd person. I originally built a following on Vine- I think getting to about 3.2 million followers on there before I started making youtube videos with my friends. After making a song with a friend for his channel, I found a love for making music and began releasing songs, then albums, then signed to a record label, then recently went back to being an independent artist. I own a company called HappyFace (I won’t get too deep into that, click the link if you’d like). I’ve always had a love for entertaining people and social media became an outlet where I could let out a little bit more of myself than I do in person. I’m a pretty soft spoken, reserved dude in the real world. Writing out lyrics for my songs have helped me to explain my thoughts and feelings. Making videos has just always been fun. I started making videos with my brothers on my mom’s “Palm Pilot” when i was like 12. (That’s one of those old digital planning devices that happened to have a video recording mode haha).
Background
I was born on April 1st, 1992. I’m an aries, but i don’t really care about astrology. I grew up in Huntington Beach. I worked in construction with my father who was a general contractor. Then I worked as a bartender at the Harp Inn in Newport Beach (or Costa Mesa- it’s on the cusp). After I built up a large enough following and started making money from advertising for brands with my channels, I moved up to Los Angeles to be around other creators.
Some people recognize me from vine, most people recognize me from being in “the vlog squad”. We all played these amplified versions of ourselves and I was the lowkey, dad joke making, sad guy that nobody liked. That was my character trope ok!
I don’t really know what else to write but I feel like this page would look a lot better if there were a few more paragraphs on it. Right now I’m in Captiva on vacation with my girlfriend and her parents. I woke up at 4:50 in the morning and my body is all out of wack from the 3 hour time change and the days full of activity and SUN. It’s been a while since I’ve been out and about/at the beach all day long. So I’m a little exhausted but also wired.
Anyways, it’s been a lot of fun. Girlfriend is great, girlfriend’s parents are great, Captiva is great. I guess I should mention my girlfriend’s name, it’s Jacquelyn Anderson. You’ll see lot’s of her on my instagram! I don’t really like photos of only me, so I mostly post photos with her in them. Since social media is kind of my job, sometimes I take photos of myself and post those too. Like the photos on this website. I paid my buddy to take photos of me in outfits I would never wear outside of a photoshoot just so I’d have some pictures to use when I release music and so I could update my website. Pretty Cool huh?
